Upcoming Pack activities:
Tuesday, September 16, 7-8 pm, school cafeteria: Pack meeting, full uniform. We’ll start as close to 7 as possible (we depend on the janitor to open doors) so we can be done not much past 8. Special guests, popcorn information and more.
Popcorn fundraiser: We’ll do this fundraiser (our only fundraiser) again this year because it gets us much more money than Christmas wreathes. This year we would like to get everyone jazzed up about getting enough additional $$ to buy a new state of the art Pinewood Derby track!
We are asking every Scout to do one 2 hour shift on one of the two weekend dates 9/21-22 and 9/28-29, and also sell some door to door. No buy-outs please. We know this crams into an already busy September, but then we’re done for the year and great awards will come to our good sellers in December and we all will enjoy the Pinewood Derby on a spiffy new track in January.
Saturday, October 4, Family Fall Camp-Out, venue TBD
Saturday, October 11, Webelos only, dens 1,5,9: Hornet Overnighter. Please contact and sign up with your den leaders. $60/person. One Parent/guardian and scouts only. Full uniform.
Tuesday, October 21, 7-8 pm, school: Pack meeting, full uniform. Special guests and more.
If you are interested in joining us, send us an email! If you would like more information about Cub Scouting, check out some of the Resources under the Cub Scout tab.
New email system: Due to all the issues of sending email to our comcast.net members, we have implemented a new email discussion list. Everything should seem the same (you were are added to the appropriate lists) except that there is a little footnote in all the emails generated by the list on how to unsubscribe. If you need to add another email or join a different den, then follow this link. The "Email Manager" is also on the navigation menu on the left side of the website.
Cub Scout Pack 340, first chartered in 1969, serves Guadalupe Elementary School in the Union School District of San Jose, CA and the surrounding area. We are part of the Pioneer District under the Santa Clara County Council, and our charter organization is the Guadalupe Home & School Club.
